Changes to my study programme
Hello everyone! This is my last post!
Well, I am currently studying journalism at the Universidad de Chile. And in these two years, I have clearly witnessed the strengths and weaknesses of this study programme. I have always thought that in Chile study programmes are too long, and 5 years studying journalism is an excess. But I will not deny that, at present, the workload is low. Studying journalism is quite relaxed. The curriculum is quite complete but, again, I will not deny that some courses of the common plan (the ones we share with Film and Television) are boring. Personally, I think that these courses should be merged and shortened. In this way, the study programme would last a maximum of 4 years, a prudent extension. Along these lines, I believe that all sections of the same course should unify their programs. So, for example, the teaching methods of one section of "Audiovisual Language" would not be so different from the other.
In terms of infrastructure, although it is aesthetically unattractive in relation to other faculties, it complies. And the use of technology in it complies with the needs that a career like journalism requires. I have no comment on that. Overall I don't have many complaints about my study programme. I like it the way it is, well, I accept it.
Anyway, that's all. Bye, see you later.
I agree with you hahahah some of the common plan courses are boring and tedious!! Good post :)
